One man’s loss is another man’s gain, or at least that’s what happened in the recruitment of talented safety prospect Noah King.
King, a 6-foot-2 safety from Hamilton, Ohio, committed to play for Kansas State in the Class of 2025, but is now set to transfer to Colorado after just a few months with the program.
Coming out of Hamilton High School in the Class of 2025, King was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 218th-ranked player. He also checked in as the 26th-ranked player at his position and the seventh-ranked player in the state of Ohio.
An impressive player in his class, King chose the Wildcats over offers from 12 different programs, including West Virginia, Nebraska, Kentucky, and more.
He is set to join a Colorado team with one of the better transfer portal classes in the country, as Coach Prime’s class of incoming transfers checks in as the Big 12’s second-best group and the nation’s 23rd-best.
Under Chris Klieman at Kansas State and now Deion Sanders at Colorado, King will have speedrun stays with two of the Big 12’s premier college football coaches.
