Kansas added a significant piece to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of Kory Amachree, a dynamic running back from Haslett, Michigan.
Standing at 6-foot-0, 195 pounds, Amachree is a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is rated as the No. 351 overall player nationally, the No. 24 running back in his class, and the No. 6 recruit in Michigan.
Known for his blend of speed and power, Amachree’s commitment provides Kansas with a versatile offensive weapon who can contribute both in the running game and as a receiver out of the backfield.
Amachree chose the Jayhawks over offers from Michigan State, Purdue, Notre Dame, and several others, marking a significant recruiting victory for a program that is starting to build something special in Lawrence.
This addition bolsters Kansas’s 2026 recruiting class, which has now climbed to No. 8 in the country, ranking only behind USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Clemson, Texas A&M, and LSU.
With Amachree on board, Kansas continues to build a foundation aimed at elevating the program’s competitiveness within the Big 12 and on the national stage.
