On Sunday, Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats added a new player in the Class of 2026 with the commitment of Tanner West.

West, a 6-foot wideout from Fulshear, Texas, chose the ‘Cats over offers from 20 different programs, including Kansas, SMU, Memphis, New Mexico, and more.

“Excited to announce my commitment to Kansas State as the next step for my athletic and academic career,” West wrote on X. “Thanks to my family, coaches, and teammates who helped me along the way! All the glory to GOD! Go Cats!”

Coming out of Katy Jordan High School in the Class of 2026, West is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index. He also checks in as the 210th-ranked player at his position and the 189th-ranked player in the state of Texas.

In 2024, West saw action all over the field on offense, lining up out wide and in the backfield. He recorded more than 1200 scrimmage yards as a junior with 694 yards and 10 scores on the ground, and 534 yards and three scores coming through the air.

With his commitment, West became the Wildcats’ fifth addition to the Class of 2026, joining Dejon Ackerson, Lamarcus Barber, Brandon Ford, and Oliver Miller.
