PFF College released its list of three players to watch out for in 2025 NFL Fantasy Football this preseason, and several former Big 12 standouts made the cut.
Jayden Higgins, who was drafted 34th overall to the Houston Texans, was first on the list after a strong season with the Iowa State Cyclones in 2024.
Last season, the 6-foot-4 wideout tallied 87 catches, 1,183 yards, and nine touchdowns. He averaged an impressive 13.6 yards per reception and helped ISU to an 11-3 finish.
He joins a strong receiving core in Houston, with Nico Collins, Christian Kirk, and Tank Dell, who is recovering from an injury. The Texans ranked 22nd in total offense last season and will look to return to the playoffs for the third-straight season.
The New York Giants made a splash in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, selecting running back Cam Skattebo, who helped lead the Arizona State Sun Devils to the College Football Playoff last season.
Not only is the Skattebo an elite runner, but he is dangerous in the passing game as well, totaling 45 catches for 605 receiving yards and three touchdowns last season. Through the ground game, he recorded 1,711 yards (1st in the Big 12) and an impressive 21 touchdowns.
He will battle for first team opportunities against running back Tyrone Tracy Jr, who finished with just 839 rushing yards and five touchdowns last year.
The last name mentioned on the list was Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was taken 144th overall after playing the last two seasons with Colorado.
Sanders enters a crowded quarterback room, alongside Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson, Dillon Gabriel, and Joe Flacco.
With no clear answers as to who will be the starter in Week 1, Sanders will compete for the starting job. With the Buffaloes, he won the Johnny Unitas award, given to the nation’s best quarterback.
After throwing for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns, he was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and had his No. 2 jersey retired by the university.
The Browns’ offense struggled last season, ranking 28th, and the team finished below .500 for the third time in the last four seasons.
