With Nebraska and Cincinnati playing on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium in Cincinnati, the Bearcats got a welcomed surprise from their most famous alum: Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was in his home stadium with his fiance, Taylor Swift. It was obvious to anyone watching the game that Kelce was clearly cheering on his alma mater. But apparently, that wasn’t clear to the social media manager of the Big Ten Conference.
Yeah, this didn’t go over well on X, as Big 12 and Cincinnati fans absolutely roasted the Big Ten account.
That last one is arguably the best: He is wearing a Cincinnati hat! And there were many others I left off this post to keep things relatively family friendly. But it sure does look like the Big Ten is desperate for attention and love when the league posts something as stupid and ignorant as this.
But it’s also a reminder to Cincinnati to lean into this moment, which we got some of during the first half of the game in KC.
Now, it’s on Cincinnati to go get the win. Let’s go Big 12!
