The 2025 college football season is underway and its the Big 12 heading into the meat of conference play with Week 5 all wrapped up, and only one non-conference game on the schedule. It’s also a chance to see which teams are the most passionate about their teams as we approach the halfway mark of the college football season. Some teams are surprising, some are disappointing, but who is showing up? With Week 5 of the season in the rearview mirror, here’s a look at the attendance numbers for Week 5 in the conference.

- Colorado vs. BYU: 52,265 (104.1%)
- Kansas State vs. UCF: 51,013 (102.0%)
- Arizona State vs. TCU: 53,774 (100.3%)
- Iowa State vs. Arizona: 61,500 (100%)
- Kansas vs. Cincinnati: 41,525 (100%)
- West Virginia vs. Utah: 53,965 (89.9%)
- Oklahoma State vs. Baylor: 45,689 (84.8%)
The home team is listed on the left side of the match ups. The only game I did not put on the list is Houston vs. Oregon State, since this game was on the road for the Big 12 team.
Overall, five of the seven games hosted at Big 12 stadiums had attendance top 100% capacity, an impressive feat for the conference in Week 5 of the college football season.
As for results on the field, Week 5 brought several close contests and a few statement wins across the league. BYU edged Colorado in a tight 24-21 finish, while Kansas State pulled away late for a 34-20 win over UCF. Arizona State narrowly held off TCU, 27-24, in a non-conference battle. Iowa State delivered a dominant 39-14 win over Arizona, arguably their most complete performance of the season. Cincinnati escaped Kansas with a 37-34 win in one of the more thrilling games of the weekend. Utah went on the road and dismantled West Virginia, 48-14, showing just how dangerous the Utes can be when firing on all cylinders. Meanwhile, Baylor handled business in Stillwater, beating Oklahoma State 45-27 in a game that felt more lopsided than the final score.
With strong showings in the stands and a slate of competitive games, the Big 12 continues to prove it’s one of the most compelling conferences in college football heading into October.
