Class of 2026 three-star safety D’Montae Tims flipped his commitment from Colorado to Indiana, becoming the Hoosiers’ third safety commit in the 2026 class, per Hayes Fawcett.
Tims held offers from several top programs, such as Miami, Kansas State, Georgia, Missouri, Ole Miss, and others.
The Florida native is ranked as the No. 87 safety in the Class of 2026 and No. 934 overall nationally.
Listed at 6-foot-1, Tims becomes the 25th prospect to commit to Curt Cignetti’s 2026 class in Bloomington. The Hoosiers have one of the top recruiting class in the Big Ten.
Meanwhile, Colorado loses his pledge as the Buffaloes look to rebound from a disappointing 2025 season.
Indiana is ranked No. 2 in the country this season, sitting at 11-0 and atop the Big Ten standings. However, Coach Prime and Colorado have struggled, holding a 3-7 overall record.
The Buffaloes will close out the 2025 season on the road against Arizona State, while the Hoosiers aim to complete a perfect regular season against in-state rival Purdue. Indiana remains in strong contention for a Big Ten title and a College Football Playoff berth. Colorado, on the other hand, is looking to end a tough season on a high note before turning to the offseason.
