Kansas State Unable to Land 3-Star QB

Class of 2027 quarterback Braylen Warren has committed to the Missouri Tigers over the Kansas State Wildcats, according to Hayes Fawcett.

The Omaha, Nebraska, native also considered Iowa before choosing Missouri and is currently rated as a three-star prospect.

Warren ranks as the No. 30 quarterback nationally in the 2027 cycle and the second-highest-rated player in the state of Nebraska.

He had been a target for Kansas State as the Wildcats continue to shape their 2027 recruiting class. His decision leaves K-State still in search of its first quarterback commitment for that cycle.

Kansas State entered the 2025 season with high expectations but fell short, finishing the regular season with a 6-6 record.

It marked the program’s worst finish since 2020, when the Wildcats managed just four wins. Despite returning several key contributors and being viewed as a potential Big 12 contender, Kansas State struggled with inconsistency on both offense and defense.

Losses in close games down the stretch ultimately derailed hopes for a stronger campaign, leaving the Wildcats searching for answers heading into bowl season.

KSU still managed to clinch bowl eligibility for the fifth-straight season. While the Wildcats failed to contend for a Big 12 title in 2025, maintaining a bowl streak offers a foundation to build on heading into the offseason
