The Most Hated College Football Team in 2026? Tim Brando Has the Answer

Tim Brando FOX

There’s only one college football game left in the 2025 season, so most fans are looking ahead to 2026. And as we look ahead, FOX Sports play-by-play man Tim Brando told Dan Dakich why he thinks LSU is going to be the most hated team in college football next season.

Brando told ‘Dont @ Me with Dan Dakich’, “I’ve got a tremendous affinity for that place [LSU], but they’re going to be the most hated team in America next year, and as coach, he will be the most vilified coach in America. They will be everyone’s Homecoming opponent when they go on the road. Now they may be great, they’re going to stack it up, and buy the best players they can buy.”

Here’s the full answer from Brando, who has deep roots in Louisiana, still calls it home, but is able to call it straight as well when discussing the Ole Miss-Lane Kiffin fall out.

Lane Kiffin’s PR Battle

Brando also went on to note in this commentary that Lane Kiffin is “losing a PR battle because he’s using [his phone] way too much, there are times you need to put this damn this down and just stay off, and that happened long ago for him. He’s been as mismanaged as teenage kids being recruited… and when he tries to troll in the aftermath of using ESPN, who set him up with a documentary to make him look like a changed man, months before he did this to Ole Miss… that’s all blown up now. That’s all a charade.”

There’s no doubt that Lane Kiffin is going to be a target with the LSU Tigers wherever he goes next season. The LSU Tigers’ 2026 football schedule features home matchups against ClemsonTexas A&M, and SEC rivals like KentuckyAuburnAlabama, and Arkansas, plus road games at Ole MissMississippi State, and Tennessee.

In fact, as Brando noted, the Ole Miss game vs. LSU is in Oxford during Week 3 of the 2026 season. ESPN is already laughing all the way to the bank waiting for the viewership of that game.
