In the latest Joe Lunardi Bracketology, the Oklahoma State Cowboys are listed in the “First Four Out” as of Thursday, February 5th. The Pokes are fresh off an upset of No. 16 BYU at home on Wednesday night. Here’s a look at Lunardi’s latest bracket.

TCU was listed in the “Next Four Out” list, while Baylor also moved up to the “Next Four Out” after they beat Colorado this week. Oklahoma State is 4-5 in Big 12 play, while TCU is 3-6 and Baylor is 3-7 in the conference.

The Rest of the Big 12

The Big 12 had Arizona as the No. 1 overall seed in the Lunardi bracket. Also, the league had Houston and Iowa State as No. 2 seeds, Kansas came in as a No. 3 seed, Texas Tech is a No. 4 seed and BYU dropped from being a Top 4 seed in the Lunardi Bracket, UCF is in the Tournament, but it’s not clear where based on his recent post.

Thursday night saw West Virginia beat Cincinnati 59-54, which might get the Mountaineers back onto the bubble. They are now 6-4 in league play.

The Big 12 only has seven teams in the Tournament, though, which is fewer than the Big Ten, SEC and the ACC. However, the Big 12 has the most quality and depth at the top. If there are more upsets like what we saw on Wednesday night in Stillwater, the Big 12 can get to 8 or 9 teams. But anything more than that seems unlikely at this point.
