Joe Lunardi posted an update to his Bracketology on Saturday night, and the TCU Horned Frogs are now one of the “Last Four In”, according to his NCAA Tournament Projections. When the day began, TCU was not in the NCAA Tournament, but after TCU beat Oklahoma State on Saturday, Lunardi posted an update with the Horned Frogs now “in” the Big Dance.

Here’s a look at Lunardi’s Bracketology as of Saturday evening.

It was a great week for TCU, who beat Iowa State on Wednesday night. And after Saturday’s win in Stillwater, the Horned Frogs have now won three in a row and are 6-6 in Big 12, along with a 16-9 overall record.

TCU only has one game left against a team currently ranked, and it’s No. 16 Texas Tech on March 3rd. Next up for TCU is a road trip against UCF on Tuesday night. The Knights are one of the eight Big 12 teams in the Big Dance, according to Lunardi, joining Arizona, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Texas Tech BYU and UCF.

Oklahoma State is currently listed in the “Next Four Out”, as the Cowboys are on a three-game slide, and Baylor is in the “Next Next Four Out”.

TCU NCAA Tournament History

TCU missed the NCAA Tournament last season after making it three-straight seasons from 2022 to 2024. In 2024, the Horned Frogs were a No. 9 seed and lost their First Round game to Utah State. Jamie Dixon has made five NCAA Tournament appearances at his alma mater, but has yet to get to a Sweet 16. In fact, the last Sweet 16 appearance for TCU basketball came in 1968. TCU has never made it past a Sweet 16, going 0-4 in those games, with appearances in 1952, 1953, 1959 and 1968.
