There are hot streaks, and then there is whatever Ryan Hammer did at halftime of Iowa State vs. Kansas.
The college basketball analyst and internet personality stepped onto the floor during the break and casually knocked down five three-pointers in under 35 seconds.
The reward? A tractor. Or maybe a lawn mower. Even he seemed unsure.
Hammer posted the video afterward with the caption, “Also, I won a tractor or lawn mower or something idk. Not sure if I have to drive it back to NJ or something.”
That alone makes the whole thing better.
It is one thing for a random fan to get hot during a halftime promotion. It is another for someone who talks basketball for a living to step into an arena, under the lights, and actually back it up. No warm-up routine. No rhythm dribbles for five minutes. Just grab the ball and let it fly.
There is something refreshing about seeing someone clearly enjoying the moment. No massive celebration. No dramatic walk-off. Just a guy laughing about the fact that he may now own farm equipment because he can shoot a little.
And honestly, that is a pretty solid trade. A few jumpers for a tractor feels like strong value.
