BYU Athletics announced Monday a new multi-year partnership with Utah-based technology company Entrata, marking a historic first for the football program. The agreement makes Entrata the first institutional jersey patch partner in BYU Football history, with the company’s logo set to appear on Cougar uniforms beginning with the 2026 season.
The partnership represents a new era for BYU Athletics as college sports programs continue exploring additional revenue opportunities following recent NCAA changes allowing commercial patches on uniforms. Entrata, headquartered in Lehi, Utah, specializes in property management software and has grown into one of the state’s largest technology companies.
“We are grateful for this new sponsorship with Entrata and excited to welcome them to the BYU Athletics family,” BYU Athletic Director Brian Santiago said in a statement. “Entrata brings great value to BYU Athletics. We are excited about this new relationship and anticipate a bright future.”
Details on BYU-Entrata Deal
As of BYU’s announcement, no financial terms have been disclosed publicly, and neither BYU nor Entrata has released the value of the agreement or the exact length of the multi-year deal.
Beyond branding on the football uniforms, the agreement includes a community-focused component. According to BYU, Entrata and the athletic department will collaborate on initiatives throughout Utah, creating opportunities for student-athletes to participate in service projects while strengthening local communities.
“This relationship with Entrata represents a step forward for BYU Athletics,” said Casey Stauffer, BYU’s senior associate athletic director for corporate sponsorships. “We are excited to align athletic excellence with community impact through this collaboration.”
Entrata officials emphasized that the partnership extends beyond a marketing opportunity.
“Entrata is proud to be a Utah company,” CEO Adam Edmunds said. “Much of our team lives here, and we’ve always believed in investing where we are. This relationship lets us work alongside one of the premier programs in the country. We’re excited to be joining Cougar Nation and play our part in what’s ahead.”
The Entrata patch will debut on BYU uniforms this fall, adding a new chapter to the program’s history while strengthening ties between two prominent Utah institutions.
