With Mason Rudolph graduating, the Cowboys are getting some more reinforcements at quarterback. Hawaii QB Dru Brown has announced he’s transferring to Oklahoma State.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Brown was a three-star prospect, who attended the College of San Mateo where as a freshman he threw for 1,900 yards with 21 touchdowns and eight interceptions, with six more touchdowns and 188 yards on the ground.
At Los Gatos High School in California, Brown didn’t start until his senior season and then earned preferred walk-on offers to Nevada and Washington State, but elected to go the JUCO route.
This past season at Hawaii, Brown completed 61.7% of his passes for 2,785 yards, with 18 touchdowns to eight interceptions. He helped the team reach its first bowl game since 2010.
Brown joins the Cowboys as a graduate transfer and should compete for the starting job immediately. The Pokes have a few options at quarterback, with many hoping that incoming 4-star freshman Spencer Sanders from Denton, TX has the chops to take over the job immediately. Sanders is ranked as the 9th-best dual-threat QB in the Class of 2018 and 16th-best player in Texas. Other than him, it’s less enticing options like Jelani Woods, Keondre Wudtee and Taylor Cornelius.
