Baylor guard Adam Flagler announced that he will enter the 2022 NBA Draft but will retain his eligibility and keep the door open for a return to Waco in 2022-23.
Flagler made his announcement on Instagram Thursday night, thanking his teammates and coaches for their support.
“To my coaches, teammates and the Baylor community thank you for your unwavering support and welcoming me to this amazing family,” Flagler wrote.
“This season was far from what we had expected but I am extremely grateful. I’d like to thank my family for being there every step of the way. After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to declare for the 2022 NBA Draft.”
In 2021-22, Flagler averaged 13.8 points and 3.0 assists per game and was named second-team All-Big 12 despite missing several games with a knee injury.
Flagler was also an integral part of the Bears’ run to a 2021 national title and has been a weapon from behind the arc for the entirety of his career, shooting 40% from three in his three seasons in Waco.
