Watch: High School Students React After Learning They’ll Meet Bijan Robinson

Sometimes its easy to forget how much young people look up to college athletes, who are nothing less than superheroes to kids in junior high and high school.
Recently, Texas RB Bijan Robinson declared that he would donate more than $3,000 worth of backpacks to Austin Harmony School of Excellence. He, himself, will help deliver the backpacks on Thursday, and in doing so will meet a lucky group of students.
KVUE Sports anchor Cory Mose posted the students’ reaction to learning that they will get to meet the Longhorns’ star running back.
That will be an awesome moment for the students ahead of one of the most anticipated Texas football seasons in recent memory, and a lot of that is due to the return of Robinson to the 40 acres.
Last season, Bijan proved to be one of the best running backs in the country, tallying 1,127 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 195 carries, which averages out to 5.8 yards per carry. He also added 295 yards and four touchdowns on 26 receptions in 2021, and will be expected to attack Big 12 defenses both in the running and passing game again in 2022.
Robinson and the Texas Longhorns will kickoff their 2022 season against UL Monroe on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. CT.
