One of the top prospects in the class of 2024, five-star SF Liam McNeely announced his cutdown list to his final six teams, three of which are members of the Big 12 Conference.
Coming out of high school, McNeely was listed as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index from Florida who currently ranks among the top 10 players in the class of 2024. McNeely is the seventh-ranked prospect in the nation as well as the top player at the forward position and also happens to be the top player in the state of Florida.
Recruiting analyst Brandon Jenkins raved about the Florida native in his evaluation saying, “McNeeley is as versatile as they come in the 2024 class. He has the handle and feel to run an offense and with his textbook shooting stroke, he has the capability to be a knockdown three-point shooter. The best area of his game is his passing as his vision is above average and he is willing to find the open man. He is unselfish to a fault, but he plays the game the right way. A high IQ prospect who can bring something to the table at either forward position, McNeeley should excel as a reliable complimentary option at the collegiate level.”
While it’s uncertain where McNeely is heading, the five-star forward has already taken official visits to Texas and Indiana, but with each of the six universities on McNeely’s final list having incredible recruiting power, any of the six has a legitimate chance to land the 2024 prospect.
