Look: Kansas Football Welcomes Urban Meyer as Guest Speaker
Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks brought in former Ohio State Buckeye coach Urban Meyer to give some words of advice to the team ahead of Saturday’s matchup against the Sooners.
Meyer was most recently seen at the NFL level leading the Jacksonville Jaguars before the organization made a change, which eventually sent Meyer into his next career as a panelist on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff show.
Saturday’s matchup between the Jayhawks and the Sooners was picked as Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff game as the crew hit the road to Lawrence Kansas ahead of a key Big 12 matchup in the 2023 season.
Lance Leipold’s Jayhawks enter the matchup on a bit of a downward slide with an overall record of 5-2, and 2-2 in conference play. Kansas does boast an impressive 4-0 home record but with the team reportedly taking the field without their star quarterback Jalon Daniels under center for the fourth-straight game, taking down the Sooners will be no easy task.
Oklahoma on the other hand currently sits atop the Big 12 Conference with a perfect 7-0 record overall, and a 4-0 conference record. The game between the two teams should help Big 12 fans learn a lot about what’s to come in the second half of the season.
