The Colorado football program has had one heck of a week. Since the transfer portal opened on Tuesday, the Buffaloes have seen 15 names enter the portal, and there could be more on the way, with the window remaining open until April 30.

Head coach Deion Sanders has already challenged the media and those who claim that the exodus is cause for concern.

“I wish you guys did a little more homework when you start talking about the portal and understand what we losing,” Sanders said.

“We’re good. Quit making a big deal out of nothing.”

After their father’s time at the podium, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders got a chance to sit down and give their take on the situation. When they were asked why the best players in the portal should come to Colorado, the pair gave a combined answer for the situation.

“The No. 1 thing is, if you good, you gonna play,” Shilo said. “A lot of people talk about ‘favoritism’ stuff. I’ve been to other schools that actually might be like that but I promise you. If you’re good, you gonna play. You’ll have more of an opportunity here to legit, actually, display your skills.”

“If you’re not playing here, that means you’re doing something crazy,” Shedeur intejected. “That’s it. If you not playing here, that means you showing out. You not listening to coaches or something.”

“Not everybody see behind the scenes, like in practice,” Shilo said, picking right back up. “We know these guys, like, who they really are. You know what I’m saying? You might get on Instagram or Twitter and say one thing, and it’s like, ‘Bruh, you not even doing nothing, bruh.’ Y’all don’t know what’s really going on at practice every day, cuz y’all just see highlight players here and there. We practice everyday almost. So, we know who’s who and if someone was being done wrong, you know, we would know that.”

The duo’s lively answer was clearly in response to some of the things that were claimed to have led to Cormani McClain and Alton McCaskill’s departure from the team.

The Buffaloes aren’t worried about the players leaving Colorado right now though, because the man in charge isn’t worried about it.

“We’re good. I trust the recruiting team. I trust our coaches, and please have some faith in me,” Sanders said. “We good. We all right. We all right.”
