The No. 17 Texas Tech Red Raiders have already added to their Class of 2027 recruiting class with the commitment from four-star defensive lineman K’Adrian Redmond, per Rivals.

Redmond, a native of DeSoto, Texas, is ranked as the No. 102 overall prospect in the 2027 class and the No. 7 defensive lineman nationally.

The 6-foot-3 standout also fielded offers from Baylor, California, Houston, Kansas State, and Nebraska before choosing the Red Raiders.

He became the third player from his class to commit to the program. As a sophomore, Redmond recorded 32 tackles and one sack over 10 games, per Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

Texas Tech is off to a strong start this season, sitting at 3–0 following a dominant win over Oregon State last weekend.

With Texas Tech trending upward both on the field and in recruiting rankings, Redmond’s commitment sends another signal that the Red Raiders are positioning themselves to be a Big 12 contender for years to come.

His early decision also gives the staff a valuable cornerstone to build around on the defensive line, potentially attracting other top-tier talent to Lubbock in the coming months.

The Red Raiders will take on the No. 16 Utah Utes on the road Saturday, Sept. 20, at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
