UCF finished the season 21-12 overall and 9-9 in conference play, a solid showing in one of the toughest leagues in college basketball. The Knights proved they could compete with just about anyone in the conference, picking up key wins throughout the season and positioning themselves as a legitimate postseason team.
Although UCF’s tournament run was cut short with a loss to No. 7 UCLA, the bigger picture points to a program on the rise. The Knights showed flashes of growth and competitiveness throughout the season, something that didn’t go unnoticed by the administration.
