Kansas State TE Will Anciaux to Miss Remainder of Season With Injury

Kansas State head football coach Collin Klein announced Monday that tight end Will Anciaux will miss the rest of the season with the lower-leg injury he suffered during the Wildcats’ 31-26 loss at Cincinnati.

Anciaux suffered the injury on Kansas State’s second drive of the game vs. Cincinnati and did not return. Klein initially said last week that Anciaux was expected to miss some time, but the Wildcats now know they will have to move forward without him for the remainder of the year.

Anciaux finishes his senior season with six receptions for 84 yards. He had been an important part of a deep Kansas State tight end room alongside Garrett Oakley and Linkon Cure, with the Wildcats frequently using multiple-tight-end formations.

Adjustments for K-State Moving Forward

Klein said Monday that losing Anciaux won’t force Kansas State to abandon those packages, but the Wildcats will have to make some adjustments.

“We have some plans for that,” Klein said. “It’s not something that will change by any stretch, but we have to be mindful and adjust accordingly.”

Anciaux’s absence should create an even larger opportunity for Oakley and Cure moving forward. Freshman Lawson McGraw could also see an expanded role after Klein specifically mentioned him as one of the younger players who stood out during Kansas State’s bye week.

Anciaux appeared in every game for Kansas State over the previous two seasons, including eight starts in 2025. He caught six passes for 45 yards and a touchdown last season after recording seven receptions for 62 yards and three scores in 2024.

Kansas State returns from its bye week against Houston on Saturday.
