Big 12 Bowl Projections Entering Week 9

Even though we are just eight weeks into the college football season, that doesn’t mean we can’t look ahead to what the future may hold. There are still plenty of important games to get through and a long way to go but it is never too early to start thinking about the postseason.
Brett McMurphy from the Action Network recently released his latest college football bowl projections. It is always interesting to see how things change from week to week but here is what Brett currently has listed for the Big 12.
CFB PLAYOFF CAPITAL ONE ORANGE BOWL
Oklahoma vs Georgia
ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL
Iowa State vs Kentucky
TEXAS BOWL
Texas vs Mississippi State
VALERO ALAMO BOWL
Oklahoma State vs Oregon State
CHEEZ-IT BOWL
Baylor vs Wake Forest
GUARANTEED RATE BOWL
Kansas State vs Maryland
AUTOZONE LIBERTY BOWL
Texas Tech vs LSU
We have a few changes from last week but nothing at the top as Brett still has Oklahoma in the playoff against Georgia. But with Iowa State’s win over Oklahoma State last weekend, the Cyclones are back in the NY6 picture.
Texas stays put in the Texas Bowl but with Oklahoma State’s loss they drop to the Alamo Bowl to take on Oregon State. And despite Baylor being off this past weekend, they fell to the Cheez-It Bowl due to the outcomes of last week’s games.
A few interesting changes here or lack of are Texas Tech and TCU. With TCU’s loss against West Virginia, they have completely fallen off the list and despite Texas Tech firing Matt Wells on Monday, Brett still thinks they will win one more game to get to a bowl. With TCU out, that benefited Kansas State who jumps up a spot in the pecking order.
