TCU quarterback Max Duggan has been named a finalist for the 2022 Heisman Trophy Award, presented annually to the most outstanding player in college football.
Duggan joins USC quarterback Caleb Williams, Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett and Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud as finalists for the award after all three had fantastic 2022 seasons.
Duggan is the major reason that the TCU Horned Frogs are College Football Playoff-bound for the first time in school history. The TCU signal-caller completed 64.9% of his passes for 3,321 yards and 30 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He also added 404 yards rushing and six touchdowns on the ground, including a 15-carry, 110-yard rushing performance against Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship.
Caleb Williams is the heavy-betting favorite to win the award, currently with -2500 (1/25) to take home the coveted trophy. Williams has completed 66.1% of his passes for 4,075 yards and 37 touchdowns with just four interceptions, adding 372 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
Duggan currently has the second-best odds at +2000 (20/1), according to BetMGM.
The Heisman Trophy will be presented to the 2022 winner at the Heisman Memorial Trophy Presentation Ceremony in New York City at 7:00 p.m. CST on December 10.
