Kansas Favored to Win Big 12 Despite Kansas State Leading Conference

Despite the Kansas State Wildcats leading the Big 12 in basketball standings, the Kansas Jayhawks are still the odds-on favorite to win the Big 12. At the halfway point through the college basketball season, the Jayhawks are currently viewed as the favorite to win the Big 12 in the eyes of DraftKings Sportsbook.

In an updated list from DraftKings Sportsbook, the Kansas Jayhawks lead the Big 12 with -145 odds to win the conference. Following the Jayhawks is a two-way split between conference-leading Kansas State, and Iowa State sitting at +500 odds to win.


Following the top three teams comes Texas with +750 odds to win, Baylor with +1500 odds, and TCU with +1600 odds to win. Those with a further shot to win the Big 12 include West Virginia with +25000 odds to win, Oklahoma with +30000 odds to win, Oklahoma State with +30000 odds to win, and finally Texas Tech with +50000 to win.

The Kansas State Wildcats are currently leading the conference with an overall record of 16-2 with a 5-1 record in the conference which is the same record held by the Kansas Jayhawks though K-State owns the tie-breaker. Iowa State sits in third at 14-3 with an in-conference record of 5-1, followed by 15-3 Texas in fourth place with a conference record of 4-2.
