Report: Chiefs Have Met with K-State RB Deuce Vaughn

Deuce Vaughn has been one of the most electric players in all of college football in his three years with the Kansas State Wildcats, and for hometown fans, Vaughn announced that he had an informal meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Vaughn made headlines this season at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine by being recorded as the shortest player in combine history at 5-foot-5.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl Champions and have found a way to hold more draft picks than any other team in this year’s draft. While the running back room isn’t a glaring need for Kansas City with 7th-round rookie Isiah Pacheco taking the league by storm however with the uncertainty of free agent running back Jerick McKinnon’s future with the team, Vaughn could find a home in Kansas City.

Vaughn’s name has been brought up in many conversations by fans trying to figure out what fit would be the best for the Manhattan product. All eyes are focused on the Dallas Cowboys as a potential landing spot as Deuce Vaughn’s father, Chris Vaughn is a senior scout for the Cowboys.

The NFL Draft takes place in Kansas City starting on April 27th, and in the event, the Chiefs elect to snag Vaughn, expect a loud crowd.
