4-Star RB TJ Hodges Announces October Commitment Date

NCAA Football: Baylor at Kansas

Class of 2026 four-star running back TJ Hodges plans to announce his commitment on Oct. 4, per Hayes Fawcett.

Hodges is down to his final fix programs, including Oklahoma State and Baylor. He is also considering Arkansas, Oregon, Louisville, and Missouri.

The 6-foot-1 running back is the top uncommitted running back in the 2026 cycle and ranks as the 266th overall prospect.

Hodges, an Arkansas native, will play his senior season for Bryant High School and enters the year as one of the most heavily recruited backs in the region. With multiple Power Five programs in pursuit, his October decision will be closely watched across the Big 12 footprint.

Oklahoma State is looking to bounce back after a disappointing 3-9 campaign in 2024. The Cowboys opened the 2025 season with a solid 27-7 win over UT Martin.

Meanwhile, Baylor dropped its opener to Auburn, 38-24, and is aiming for a second-straight winning season under Dave Aranda.

With Big 12 programs actively targeting explosive playmakers on the recruiting trail, Hodges could become a foundational piece for whichever school lands him. His vision and breakaway speed make him a top priority as teams look to build future backfields for the expanded conference era.
