Colorado assistant coach Warren Sapp is going viral for a pregame ritual that has fans, as well as many opposing supporters, shaking their heads. Before kickoff against TCU, Sapp was seen walking down to the opposing end zone and kicking over all four of the pylons that mark the corners of the goal line.

The moment was caught on video by CBS Colorado’s Romi Bean, who shared the clip on X. The video shows Sapp casually strolling through the end zone, knocking over each pylon one by one before walking away like nothing happened. It’s since made the rounds across social media, and reactions have ranged from disbelief to flat-out annoyance.

Look, there’s confidence, there’s swagger, and then there’s just being disrespectful for no reason. This one probably falls into the latter category. Sapp, who joined Deion Sanders’ staff at Colorado two seasons ago, has always been known for his big personality and intensity. That’s nothing new. But going out of your way to knock down another team’s pylons before the game? That’s not some motivating act of intimidation; it’s just unnecessary.

Even Colorado fans seem split on this one. Some are calling it “vintage Sapp,” a harmless bit of psychological warfare, while others are admitting it’s not a great look. Colorado has already faced plenty of scrutiny under Deion Sanders, and while this incident isn’t a big deal, it adds to the list of moments that keep the Buffs in the spotlight for reasons that don’t always involve football.

If this is Sapp’s pregame ritual moving forward, opponents might want to start keeping a closer eye on their end zones. For now, though, it’s one of those things that just makes you shake your head and laugh a little. Funny? Maybe. Cool? Not really.
