Colorado has made another addition to its 2026 commitment class.
Class of 2026 running back Cory Jordan announced his commitment to Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes on Thursday via social media. Jordan taps Colorado over offers from Maryland, Toledo and Arkansas State.
Jordan and Walnut Grove’s Cam Newton make two Texas-based running back commitments for Colorado in the 2026 class.
Jordan, of The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, Texas, rushed for 587 career yards and 11 touchdowns. He finished his prep career biting off 5.8 yards per carry. He ultimately lands with his second Power 4 offer, Colorado, which returns a solid group of rushers despite 37 outgoing transfers.
Sanders and Colorado’s run game coordinator, Gunnar White, return two experienced backs, Micah Welch and DeKalon Taylor, to the front of the room next season, as well as three new transfers. Welch led the Buffaloes with 96 carries for 384 yards and four touchdowns last year.
Transfers Richard Young (Alabama), Damian Henderson II (Sacramento State), and Jaquail Smith (Sacramento State) will all compete for touches. Jordan and Newton will be the underlying layer to a room full of rushing potential.
