UPDATE: Colorado head coach Deion Sanders provided a positive update on DeAndre Moore Jr. after the game, saying the wide receiver is “doing good” after taking a massive hit against Baylor.
“He’s a warrior,” Sanders said. “He was down there like, ‘You’re not bringing out a cart.’”
Moore was eventually able to leave the field before being taken to the locker room. Sanders did not provide additional details on Moore’s status, but his postgame comments were an encouraging sign after the scary second-quarter collision.

The play happened during the second quarter of Colorado’s Big 12 opener vs. Baylor, with Moore taking a hard shot before remaining down following the play.
Colorado’s medical staff came onto the field to check on Moore before he eventually left the field and was taken back to the locker room.

There was no immediate word on Moore’s status or whether he would be able to return to the game.
Any extended absence would be a significant loss for the Buffaloes’ offense.
Moore entered Saturday as one of Colorado’s leading receivers, having caught 15 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown through the first three games of the season. Only Joseph Williams entered the Baylor game with more receiving yards for the Buffaloes.
The senior transferred to Colorado this offseason after spending three seasons at Texas, where he appeared in 37 games and totaled 77 receptions for 988 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Moore had quickly established himself as one of quarterback Julian Lewis’ primary targets in Colorado’s new-look offense. He and Williams had emerged as the Buffaloes’ top two receiving options entering Big 12 play.
Colorado entered Saturday’s game at Baylor with a 2-1 record after suffering a 41-7 loss at Northwestern last weekend. The matchup with the Bears marked the Big 12 opener for both programs.
