A Kansas State Player Says His Team Can Win the Big 12 Tournament
The Kansas State Wildcats wrapped up a disappointing 2020-21 basketball season. They finished 4-14 in Big 12 Conference play, ninth in the league ahead of only the Iowa State Cyclones.
Heading into the 2021 Big 12 Tournament, the Wildcats are major underdogs. But just how big?
Kansas State is 200/1 to win the Big 12 Tournament. But don’t tell that to DaJuan Gordon, who commented this weekend that he thinks the Wildcats can “win the whole thing”.
If you’re looking for optimism, the Wildcats did win three of their final four games against TCU, Oklahoma and Iowa State. But it’s going to take more than that to win four games in four days at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
Kansas State plays in the first game of the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. against TCU.
And if you’re buying what DaJuan Gordon is selling, just remember a $10 bet on Kansas State will return you $2,000. Not too shabby of a way to start off your March Madness. That being said, it’s still a long shot.
