No. 1 WR in Class of 2022 Luther Burden Decommits from Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners have temporarily lost five-star wide receiver Luther Burden, who told On3 that he was decommitting from OU.
“I would like to thank the entire Oklahoma coaching staff for giving me an opportunity to be a part of the Sooner family,” Burden said. “But after a long conversation with my family, I have decided to decommit from the University of Oklahoma.”
Burden is ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the country according to the 247Sports composite. He’s 6’2”, 195 pounds and is from East St. Louis, Missouri. According to On3, the Missouri Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs have emerged as favorites, however Burden also spent time at summer camp at Alabama and took visits to Florida and Ole Miss as well.
Oklahoma had a Top 10 class prior to Burden’s decommitment. He is committed to play in the 2022 Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando.
