Kansas State Commit Blake Barnett Breaks Christian McCaffrey’s State Record with 142 Career Touchdowns

Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats got themselves a good one with three-star quarterback Blake Barnett.
Barnett made some major history on Friday night breaking Christian McCaffrey’s state record for most touchdowns over the span of a career in the state of Colorado with 142 scores.
Barnett is one of the most talented players in the state of Colorado as he plays both offense and defense and is capable of playing multiple positions on offense outside of quarterback.
The Colorado native broke McCaffrey’s record of 141 touchdowns at Valor Christian with a touchdown pass for his third score of the night, one rushing, one defensive, and one passing to set the new state record of 142 touchdowns.
Barnett is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and currently checks in as the nation’s 844th-ranked prospect. He is listed as the 52nd-ranked quarterback in his class as well as the third-ranked player in the state of Colorado.
While keeping up with Christian McCaffrey is never an easy task, Kansas State seems to have found a player capable of matching the production of one of the NFL’s greats.
