2025 Three-Star DL Benny Patterson Commits to Cincinnati

NCAA Football: South Florida at Cincinnati

Scott Satterfield and the Cincinnati Bearcats added a new player to the Class of 2025 with the commitment of three-star defensive lineman Benny Patterson.

Patterson chose the Bearcats over six different programs, including Texas Tech, Toledo, Indiana State, Boston College, Cal, and Northern Illinois.

Coming out of Castle High School in the Class of 2025, Patterson is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index. He also checked in as the 124th-ranked player at his position and the 30th-ranked player in the state of Indiana.

“I’d say the number one thing was the relationship that was built with the coaching staff and the genuine feeling,” Patterson told 247Sports’ Allen Trieu. “I’m really confident in what’s to come, and I want to be a part of it.”

With his commitment, Patterson became the eighth addition to the Bearacats’ 2025 Class, joining seven other three-star prospects. Satterfielf’s group has already earned commitments from RB Zion Johnson, CB Patrick Williams, QB Zebulin Kinsey, EDGE Erik Gayle, RB Kolin Wilson, WR Kamaurri Smith, and CB Jermaine Jones.

Patterson and the rest of the future Bearcats will have an opportunity to watch their team take the field to kick off the 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st, against Towson.
