While there were positives, including stretches of efficient play, mistakes and inconsistency plagued the offense. The performance left questions about whether he could provide the steady presence the staff hoped to find.
With conference play around the corner, Deion Sanders and his staff are looking for answers. None of the quarterbacks has seized the position outright, but Salter’s combination of experience and mobility gives him another opportunity. A return to the lineup offers Colorado the chance to reestablish rhythm on offense and put an end to the uncertainty that has surrounded the position.

Colorado has yet to find a clear identity on offense, and stability at quarterback is the first step toward building one.
