The Aggies were ranked No. 10 on Tuesday in the Week 2 AP Poll, while Arizona State received two votes on Tuesday’s poll.
The two teams have only played each other one time, and it was Texas A&M winning the meeting in 2015 by a score of 38-17 in Houston, Texas. The game will kick off at 11:00 a.m. CT on Saturday, September 12th, on ABC.

The Biggest Question: Can Arizona State’s Offense Put Up Points?
Arizona State’s offense looked explosive and very balanced in Week 1. Yes, we know it was Morgan State, but still… Cutter Boley looked the part at quarterback, and he has great talent around him with Reed Harris, Omarion Miller, Grayson Rigdon and more. But this unit will be going up against one of the best secondaries in college football. Texas A&M’s stars are back in the middle of the secondary. Marcus Ratcliffe and Dalton Brooks combined for 127 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss last season. The good news for ASU is that Texas A&M is still trying to figure out its replacements at pass rusher, which might give Boley and the offense time to get rolling. The Sun Devils are going to need to put some points on the board to pull off the upset on the road, and whoever wins in the Arizona State passing game vs. the Texas A&M pass defense will determine who goes home with the win.

Kenny Dillingham and Arizona State aren’t getting nearly enough respect going into this game. I know it’s a tough one on the road, but Arizona State is actually well positioned to win the battle in the trenches. ASU’s defensive front, led by CJ Fite and Zac Swanson, while the edge rushers include transfer portal players Jalen Thompson (Michigan State) and Emar’rion Winston (Baylor), and will become household names, at least for diehard Big 12 fans. They get to go up against a Texas A&M offensive line that is replacing four pieces and is will be still trying to find continuity. Arizona State’s offensive line also gets to go up against a Texas A&M defensive front that is not nearly as strong as recent years. ASU will be able to take the top off the A&M defense on a couple of key plays that leads to the upset at Kyle Field.
