Arizona’s Brent Brennan Buys 1,000 Tickets for Homecoming Game

NCAA Football: Kansas at Arizona

As Brent Brennan continues to build momentum on the field at Arizona, the Wildcats’ head coach is also making an impact off of it.

According to a post from Justin Spears, Brennan is purchasing 1,000 tickets for Arizona’s Homecoming game against Iowa State on October 24th and donating them to several local organizations and youth groups. The tickets will be distributed to the Boys & Girls Club, Kids of Steele, Ronald McDonald House, local youth football teams, and girls flag football organizations.

In an era when college football is often dominated by discussions surrounding NIL, conference realignment, and multimillion-dollar coaching contracts, Brennan’s gesture serves as a reminder of the impact a program can have in its local community.

The timing is also fitting. Arizona’s matchup against Iowa State is the Wildcats’ annual Homecoming game, one of the program’s showcase events each season. By opening the gates to hundreds of young fans and families who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend, Brennan is helping create an atmosphere that extends beyond wins and losses.

Arizona’s 2026 Season

Arizona enters the heart of October with a 5-1 record and renewed momentum in its third season under Brent Brennan. The Wildcats have put themselves squarely in the Big 12 race thanks to a recent 34-7 victory over Cincinnati in Week 5, followed by Saturday’s 52-31 win at West Virginia, and an offense that has continued to improve as conference play has progressed. While Arizona suffered an early setback at BYU that prevented a perfect start, the Wildcats have responded by positioning themselves among the conference contenders heading into a critical stretch of the schedule. With matchups against fellow Big 12 contenders still looming, Arizona controls much of its own destiny as it looks to remain in the hunt for a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game.

For the young athletes and families receiving tickets, the opportunity to experience a Big 12 football game firsthand could create lasting memories. For Brennan, it’s another example of the culture he is attempting to build around Arizona football.

While the Wildcats will be focused on trying to pick up a crucial conference win against Iowa State, Brennan’s investment ensures that 1,000 additional fans will have a chance to be part of the experience.
