Oklahoma State Has 12-1 Odds to Win National Championship

NCAA Football: Kansas at Oklahoma State

What a ride it has been for the Cowboys in 2021, and it’s not even close to being over. Fresh off of a thrilling 37-33 win over arch-rival Oklahoma, the Cowboys are looking to make this season the best in school history. Who would’ve thought, after a 23-16 victory over Missouri State in Week 1, that the Oklahoma State Cowboys would have the fifth-best odds in Vegas to be crowned national champions after the regular season? Well, don’t pinch yourselves Pokes, because it’s not a dream. According to BetOnline.ag, Oklahoma State has 12/1 odds of being the last team standing at the end of the season.

Here’s what the full College Football National Championship Odds look like heading into conference championship weekend:

Georgia4/9
Alabama13/2
Michigan15/2
Cincinnati10/1
Oklahoma State12/1
Notre Dame20/1
Ohio State80/1
Pittsburgh100/1
Baylor150/1
Iowa150/1
Oregon200/1
Utah200/1

There are a lot of long shots on this list because of the parody that we have seen this year, but if things break the way they should this weekend the playoff field should consist of Georgia, Michigan, Cincinnati, and Oklahoma State. Talk about a renaissance season, outside of Georgia that’s an entirely new playoff field. This was bound to happen with expansion, but it turns out that things take care of themselves.

Oklahoma State takes on Baylor in the Big 12 Championship on Saturday, and a win will almost certainly put them into the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history.
