It’s an exciting time of change for Oklahoma football with Brent Venables now the new head coach of the program and spring practice is right around the corner as well.
And in anticipation of spring ball, the football program released a hype video for the fan base.
Here’s the video.
The Sooners finished the 2021 campaign with a 10-2 record before Lincoln Riley stunned the college football world before he went on to take the head coaching job at USC. Both quarterbacks from last season, Spencer Rattler and Caleb Williams have transferred along with plenty of other talent.
But, Venables has worked hard to replace a lot of it, highlighted by UCF QB Dillon Gabriel, who is the presumed starter in Norman.
Overall, the Sooners are still likely to be the favorites to win the Big 12 in 2022, despite not even making the conference championship game last season, which resulted in Baylor beating Oklahoma State in a game that came down to the final play of the game.
It’s been reported that Oklahoma’s spring game will take place on Saturday, April 23rd, as all eyes will be watching Norman with even more interest and intrigue than is usually the case for one of college football’s blue bloods.
