Big 12 Football: Kickoff Times for Week 6 Announced

NCAA Football: Western Kentucky at Wisconsin

After Big 12 play kicked off last weekend, most teams in the conference, outside of Oklahoma State and TCU, have played a conference foe.

Now, with all ten teams active in Week 5, we will get a full slate of action and get to see how the conference hierarchy looks this upcoming Saturday. However, it will be difficult not to get excited for some of the matchups coming in Week 6, as there are four intriguing games on the docket for October 8, and the conference has announced kickoff times and network designations.

Here are the announcements from the conference just around 11:20 a.m. on Monday morning.

Oklahoma and Texas will start the morning in the Red River Showdown in Dallas. That game will be televised on ABC, with kickoff set at 11:00 a.m. CT. Also in the 11:00 a.m. window, the TCU Horned Frogs will head to Lawrence, Kansas to take on the Jayhawks on FS1. To this point in the season, Kansas has been one of the biggest surprises in all of college football and is vying for bowl season in Year 2 under Lance Leipold.

The 2:30 p.m. window has one of the future Big 12’s growing rivalries, as Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders head to Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. That game will be televised on either FOX or FS1, with a designation coming after October 1.

In the evening window, we have “Farmageddon,” as Kansas State will head to Ames to take on the Iowa State Cyclones. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, with the game being televised on ESPNU.

Baylor and West Virginia will both have Week 6 off with BYE’s, but will resume action in Week 7.
