TCU will once again be without one of its top offensive weapons when the Horned Frogs take the field against Grambling on Saturday.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, star wide receiver Jordan Dwyer will miss the game as he continues to deal with a foot injury. Dwyer also missed TCU’s season opener against North Carolina and has yet to take the field during the 2026 season.
That’s a significant absence for a TCU offense that entered the season expecting Dwyer to play a major role in the passing game.
Dwyer is the Horned Frogs’ leading returning receiver from the 2025 season after hauling in 54 passes for 730 yards. His production and experience made him one of TCU’s most important returning offensive players heading into 2026.
The good news for the Horned Frogs is that Saturday’s matchup against Grambling should give them another opportunity to get through a game without Dwyer before the schedule becomes more challenging.
TCU opened the season with a win over North Carolina despite Dwyer’s absence, showing it still has enough weapons to move the football without its leading returning receiver on the field.
Still, getting Dwyer healthy will become increasingly important as the Horned Frogs move deeper into September and toward the heart of Big 12 play.
For now, TCU will have to turn to the rest of its wide receiver room against Grambling while Dwyer continues his recovery. TCU vs. Grambling kicks off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday night.
